D.Tucker's Guest Post - "Her Tattoos"

First, an immense thank you to Katrina for allowing me the opportunity to share with you on the blog today.

If have read Katrina's blog in the past you might remember me as Dwayne Tucker, Katrina's photographer friend. From here on out, you'll remember me as the Katrina’s photographer friend, who's also an Alternative Hip-Hop artist.

Despite me returning the music scene and pursuing my childhood dream, my Photoshopping addiction still exist.

I digitally-inked Katrina's arm shown in the cover artwork above for my new single, Her Tattoos, featured on my upcoming EP, "Portfolio Day" (Late April 2013).

Her Tattoos was written to highlight the shadows of stereotyping.

If you're for the statement, "Image is everything", I agree with you. However, just because a person has tattoos / a person may be different to you, they shouldn't be judged on their image. But I think the personality of a person's image is what matters the most.

Many artists and public figures, such as Katrina and I, are heavily judged early on in our careers. People often neglect to take into consideration of the amount of pain that drives us to do what we love. We must keep in mind while doing what we love, the objective should be to inspire others to do the same.

Did you think the tattoos on Katrina were real?
What were your initial thoughts?
I hope they were all positive.
(She's still the most beautiful; we all know that.)

When I'm exposed to the public as a rap / hip-hop artist, I don’t want to be thought of as the stereotypical rapper (baggy clothing, big chains and guns etc.)

I'm finding that my purpose with my music is to inspire a generation by showcasing my art. Most importantly, to unite all YACHTLIFE supporters and continue to sail together to greatness and success.

Again, I'd like to say a special thank you to Katrina and a thank you to readers of this article.

  1. Dwayne & Sketch rock Her Tatts! Love this song about the mystery of being drawn to someone from across a room, maybe it's the tatts or the eyes, but you have to risk getting up close to hear real stories and see the soul.

  13. Tattoo artists use tattoo guns to create tattoos, tattoo guns are electrically powered, and move at a great speed, as the tattoo needle moves up and down the ink is deposited into the skin, the needle of the tattoo gun, goes up and down about 2000 times a minute. spine tattoos
