Review: Mario Badescu Drying Lotion

Photobucket

Finally I had my little bundle of joy and he is such a pleasure! I really can't imagine life without him! I get to hold his little cuteness in my arms, I fit into my clothes again, and I get to use my favorite skin care products again. One of the first products I had to reach back to was my Mario Badescu Drying Lotion. This was my little miracle pimple killer before I got pregnant. I couldn't use it while I was pregnant because it is recommended not to use any acne medications or treatments during pregnancy since the chemicals so seep into your skin.

I heard about the drying lotion from a friend who swore up and down by it. She told me she tried it out, fell in love with it, and heard all the raves about it from Martha Stewart, who absolutely loves Mario Badescu products. I had to give it a try, so the next time we were by a Nordstrom, I picked it up for $17.

I was really shocked at how well it worked to dry out my pimples. It works especially well on the pimples that are just coming in. Right when you notice that little itch of a new pimple starting to form, you apply a bit of the drying lotion...just a dot on the spot, and it works like magic, usually within 2 days, sometimes even overnight depending on the pimple. If the pimple didn't vanish overnight it defiitly helped make it less apparent and cut down the healing time dramatically.

The drying lotion has directions for use. You don't just shake up the little bottle, in fact you try to keep it as still and standing upright as possible since the product that is used is the pink stuff on the bottom of the little jar. If it happens to get shaken up, no worries, just wait for the sediment to settle. To apply the product you just get a q-tip, dip it into the bottom of the little bottle and get it wet with the pink miracle stuff on the bottom. This is very sanitary and that is important when it comes to anything to do with your face. Put a little dot on your face with it over any pimples or coming pimples you have and you will see it instantly start to dry up. If you need more of the product if it dries up on the q-tip, just dip it in again. You just go to sleep and wash it off in the morning when you wash your face.

I would definitly recommend this product. It was recommended to me and I would pass on the torch to anyone who is looking for a little miracle acne product to use on any annoying pimples. I really fell in love with the brand and am so glad that they are quite affordable for the amazing quality of the brand.

I have had plenty of e-mails sent to me asking what my skin care regimen was, and I just wanted to let you guys know about this. Since I was pregnant I didn't really have a skin care regimen, but now I'm back on track!

Check out the website (www.mariobadescu.com) for more information about the drying lotion or any other products. They have so many great skin care necessities available and they also have products for men. I can't wait to try out other products from the brand. I'll do reviews on each of the products as well.

Overall I rate this little miracle stuff a 5 out of 5 since it really is a holy grail for me and I have trusted it for a while now and will contunie to use it.

You could find this product at any Nordstrom, online from mariobadescu.com, or on Amazon.com. It runs for $17.

  4. I love this sort of product. I've only used Bye Bye Blemish, which is very similar, but is the drugstore equivalent. I think it works really well too.

  8. I would highly recommend Sudocrem as a cheaper alternative, it works just as well (in my opinion, better) than Mario Badescu product. Lollipop26 has also posted about Sudocrem and how it's amazing for her occasional acne. Sudocrem only costs about £2. Hope this helps!
