Review: MAC Loud Lash Mascara

I purchased this mascara from the CCO in the nearby outlet mall. The mascara cost me $7.50, which is a great price! It comes in 2 colors - Noisy Black and a Brown shade.

I was very thrilled when purchasing this mascara but had no idea that it was waterproof...and when I say waterproof, I mean monsoon proof!

I had not done any research on this product and had not asked anything about it at the CCO. It didn't mentioned anywhere on the packaging that the mascara was waterproof proof, but it is, and I discovered this when I tried to take it off before going to bed one night.

The mascara comes with a bushy soft brush which I love! The formula does not do much for lengthening, so I would recommend using it with those lengthening eye lash primers before you apply this product if your looking for that falsie look. It does apply very light and crisp, I liked that a lot. The mascara also lasts a super long time and does not flake much.

Washing it off was a hassle! I had to constantly rub my eyes and makeup removed would not help much. When I googled some reviews, they all stated how the mascara comes off only with the actual MAC makeup remover (the one that comes in the pink bottle) or an oil based remover, and even then did it require some rubbing. I am afraid to wear the mascara again until I get the MAC makeup remover. My eyes were very irritated from all the rubbing for a couple of days.

Overall it is a great product if you are looking for a waterproof mascara. If you prefer a lengthier look, I would recommend using a lengthening primer with this mascara. The mascara lasts for a very long period and does not flake. It is extremely waterproof. To remove the mascara you should have the MAC makeup remover in the pink bottle or you will end up causing a lot of irritation to your eyes due to rubbing.

Baby Blabber

I started a pregnancy blog!

I thought it would be a great idea for me to start a blog all about pregnancy! I will blog about my own personal experiences, great tips and information that I've learned, healthy ways to eat and stay active, silly myths I've come across, and answer any questions that people may have about this beautiful experience!

I found this adorable picture of a baby and I could not get over how cute it was so I had to put it in my blog! I found the perfect template for my baby blog created by the wonderful Gisele Jaquenod. Since I am having a baby boy I chose a baby blue template and I think it fits perfectly!

I hope you enjoy my baby blog and find it helpful!

Wrong E-Mail Address

This one is priceless....A lesson to be learned from
typing the wrong email address!!!!

A Michigan couple decided to go to Florida to thaw out during a particularly icy winter. They planned to stay at the same hotel where they spent their honeymoon 20 years earlier.

Because of hectic schedules, it was difficult to coordinate their travel schedules. So, the husband left Michigan and flew to Florida on Thursday, with his wife flying down the following day.

The husband checked into the hotel. There was a computer in his room, so he decided to send an email to his wife. However, he accidentally left out one letter in her email address, and without realizing his error, sent the email.

Meanwhile, somewhere in Indiana, a widow had just returned home from her husband's funeral. He was a minister who was called home to glory following a heart attack.

The widow decided to check her email expecting messages from relatives and friends. After reading the first message, she screamed and fainted.

The widow's son rushed into the room, found his mother on the floor, and saw the computer screen which read:

To: My Loving Wife
Subject: I've Arrived
Date: March 1, 2009

I know you're surprised to hear from me. They have computers here now and you are allowed to send emails to your loved ones. I've just arrived and have been checked in.

I've seen that everything has been prepared for your arrival tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing you then!!!! Hope your journey is as uneventful as mine was.

P.S. - Sure is freaking hot down here!!!

I am so happy to announce...

I am feeling really guilty for not letting you wonderful friends of mine know my amazing news! I feel like I have been searching for the perfect time to spill the beans, but realized that I've been ready so long ago! I guess I got used to the fact that I just haven't been blogging about it, but enough with all of this....Jerrid and I are super happy to announce that we are having a baby boy!!!

IM GOING TO BE A MOMMY!!!

I know you're thinking - "ohh how nice! Shes probably 2 or 3 months, no big deal that she kept it so quiet"...but Im not 2 or 3 months...I'm 28 weeks pregnant = 7 months!!!

Here is my latest ultrasound picture from February...I was 25 1/2 weeks pregnant. I found out it was a boy!!

The baby is due June 4th!

(Now you know why all of my recent pictures have been chest-up LOL)

I have my reasons for waiting so long though! I announced it to my 2 closest friends as soon as I found out. I didn't want to announce it to all my friends until I was 100000% sure that everything was perfect with the baby. Usually people wait until they are past their first trimester, but I guess my explanation as to waiting so long would be that I am just a psycho.

The baby and I are doing great! He will be named after his daddy! I'm really enjoying being pregnant. The little kicks I feel all day bring me so much joy. I am so happy to soon have a family with the man I love!!

pregnancy due date

Trina's Tips - Whiter teeth

without breaking the bank!

If you're unsatisfied with your smile and are looking for a cheap and healthy way to get that brighter, whiter smile, you probably already have all the ingredients that you need right under your nose! Even the biggest names in the entertainment industry, such as Julia Roberts, use this method for a quick and easy way to get those pearly whites you desire!

This hassle free tooth whitening method is very easy. The ingredients are hydrogen peroxide (2%-3%), usually the ones found in drug stores, and baking soda. When the two are mixed they cause a chemical reaction.

The hydrogen peroxide produces oxygen and water during which it begins to foam. The foaming action kills bacteria in very hard to reach places as well as break down film that may be growing on your teeth. Just rinsing with peroxide alone also produces this effect and allows your toothpaste to be more effective when brushing afterwards.

Baking soda, which can be mildly abrasive, also kills micro-organisms that can cause mouth and gum disease. Baking soda also neutralizes acid and can prevent the damaging stuff from developing on your teeth and gums, plaque is one example. Although baking soda can be mildy abrasive, it is a great way to scrub your teeth with no damage but should be used in moderation. This method should not be used everyday, but 2 to 3 times a week can begin to show amazing results.

Start off with a dixie cup. Pour in a tiny bit of peroxide and add a teaspoon of baking soda. Mix the composite with your toothbrush to make a paste. Brush the paste onto your teeth and leave on teeth for a minute.

If you feel any pain or begin to see white developments on your gums, do not fear. Althought it may be a sign of gum disease and gingivitis, it may be normal and will go away when the balance in your mouth returns to normal. You would have the same effect if you used white strips of any other tooth whitening product as these products contain the same ingredients and may leak over onto the gums.

When used over a period of time, you should see spectacular results! Seeing that we are all affected by the recession in one way or another, this should not be something to have to spend up to $30 on during your necessity shopping.

A utensil that may be one of the best things to use for whiter, healthier teeth is the straw! As simple as this may seem, straws prevent what your drinking to make as much contact with your teeth as it would without a straw. We all know how juices contain dyes that may discolor teeth along time. Coffee and tea are also teeth stainers. Many people use coffee for the natural staining effect to dye hair, just imagine the dicoloration it may cause your teeth over time. Althought straws could cause some wrinkles along your lips...and we all hate wrinkles, it can help in maintaining the health of your teeth by preventing contact with stains, dyes, and sugars in juices. Lemons and other citrus fruits contain a lot of acids that lead to decay and soften tooth enamel. It is advised to stay away from direct contact of lemons onto your teeth.

Also remember to floss regularly, and scrape your tongue. Nasty germs may develop on your tongue that could spread and cause gross stuff to start developing on your teeth. Yuck!!! Besides, scraping your toungue prevents bad breath! So scrape away, you don't want someone telling you that you smell like hot garbage when you tell them about you day!
